Originally dating back to the fourteenth century, Port Isaac ended up being founded throughout the reign of Henry VIII as a busy seaside slot active in shipping and trans-shipping stone, ores, limestone, sodium, along with other heavy products until the nineteenth century. Following the development regarding the railroad, Port Isaac transitioned into primarily a fishing slot in the beginning of the 20th century.
Today Port Isaac is primarily a vacation tourist attraction with the heritage and character of a historic English fishing town.
The original Tudor Pier and breakwater from early days of Port Isaac have already been changed by a strong brand new sea-wall balanced by an arm on the opposite region of the cove providing shelter for contemporary mariners.
